How dogs understand the word “ball”!

How dogs understand the word “ball”!  A new study has concluded that dogs learn differently from humans.  “Where shape matters for us, size or texture matters more to your dog.  This study shows for the first time that there is a qualitative difference in the word comprehension in the dog compared to word comprehension in humans.”  Very young children, 2-3 years old, associate words for objects, like “ball”, with the object’s shape rather than size or texture.  This is an interesting concept to keep in mind when training your pet.  Happy Friday!
