Urinary Health and Your Pet

Does your pet exhibit any of the following signs: frequent urination, urinary “accidents” in the house or outside of the litter box, dribbling or leaking of urine, constant grooming of the genital area and/or increased thirst?  These signs all signal a potential urinary issue in your pet and should not be ignored. Urinary tract infections are commonly seen in pets; however, other conditions of the urinary tract can also cause a pet to display these clinical signs.  Some things to consider when your pet displays these signs or has reoccurring urinary issues are: bacterial urinary tract infections, crystals in the bladder, internal conditions such as kidney insufficiency, diabetes or thyroid disease, as well as the condition seen in this digital radiograph.  What is causing this pooch to be uncomfortable and urinate frequently?
